Basic, Premium and limits

Every workspace is on a plan: Basic is free to get started, Premium is for products that are really selling. This guide lists each plan's limits, what happens when you reach one, and how to see your current usage.

Seeing your plan and usage

  • The bottom of the sidebar always shows keys today and apps against the limits of the selected workspace.
  • Account & organization › Plan & usage shows the current plan and the full table of limits that apply to your workspace.
  • Limits apply per workspace, not per person. Every app and member of a workspace shares one set of limits.

Default limits

The figures below are each plan's defaults. Your workspace may have been adjusted individually; the right figure is always the one on Plan & usage.

When you reach a limit

Limit errors always carry the code plan_limit.

Soft limits on Premium

Two limits on sales volume behave differently between the plans:

LimitBasicPremium
Keys per dayStops until the next UTC day, error plan_limit (402)Keys are still created, with the warning daily_key_limit_exceeded
Users per appNew users are refused: creating one in the dashboard returns plan_limit, signing up in your software returns user_limitNew users are still accepted

So an unexpected sales spike on Premium never blocks new customers; you see the warning and raise the limit yourself.

Hard limits on every plan

  • Keys per batch and Devices per key: a batch or device count over the limit is refused at once (400).
  • Apps, Webhooks, Seller API keys, Team members: you cannot add more once the limit is reached.
  • Release storage: uploading a new build is refused when it is full ("Release storage is full").
  • Features outside the plan (setting the offline length, resellers, Discord and Telegram alerts) return plan_limit (402).

Log retention

Log retention (days) decides how long the activity log, Seller API request logs, Protect events and webhook delivery history are kept.

  • Before anything is removed for the first time, the workspace Owners get an email at least 3 days ahead. While pruning keeps running, the reminder is sent at most once every 30 days.
  • Only records older than the plan's number of days are removed. Webhooks still waiting to be delivered are never removed.
  • The audit log is not part of this pruning.

Upgrading to Premium

Upgrades currently go through the ClavisAUH team: open the contact page and name the workspace to upgrade. Online payment is coming soon. Prices and the full comparison are on the pricing page.

When a paid period ends without renewal, Plan & usage says the paid period has ended and the workspace uses the Basic limits until it is renewed. No data is deleted; only new actions are held to the Basic limits.

How can we help?

Frequently asked

What is ClavisAUH?

A licensing and authentication service for desktop software: license keys, device binding, end-user sign-in and signed responses. All run from one dashboard

Why can't a cracker fake your server?

The SDK only trusts answers signed with your app's private key. That key never leaves our servers, so a fake server can't sign and gets rejected

What ends up in my binary?

Your app id and public key. Nothing secret, because each device makes its own key pair on first run

Does it work offline?

Yes. Every plan gets a signed offline token for 7 days, and your app checks it locally. Premium lets you choose how long. A revoked license can keep working offline for that time, unless Online-Only Mode is on

Which languages are supported?

JavaScript and TypeScript today. C++, C# and Python are next, on the same open protocol

Is Basic really free?

Yes. No time limit, no card. Move to Premium when you need more
